Cancer

At this day and age, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t directly or indirectly been affected by cancer. Different types of cancer exist affecting the breast, colon, lung, and other various parts of the body. Common treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, are well-known for their limited success and unbearable side-effects at various different stages.

Despite the major pharmaceutical companies’ attempts to undermine the true potential of CBD, the science speaks for itself. With such low toxicity levels, cannabinoids have drastically increased in popularity over the past decade.

A recent study published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology revealed that CBD appeared to successfully inhibit cancer cells from spreading throughout the body and invading the infected study area entirely. The study appears to show CBD initially stunting the growth of cancer cells and might eventually help promote the death of those cells altogether. Another study appears to suggest CBD could potentially be effective in treating leukemia and breast cancer as well; more research is necessary before considering any results to be conclusive. As a non-toxic compound, CBD would be ideal for prolonged treatments in contrary to current, more traditional medications. With initial data displaying positive results, scientists will continue researching CBD as a potential treatment for both lung and colon cancer.
